MSGT (RET) Robert Earl Ertel, 81, Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
Robert was born July 26, 1930 in Indiana, son of Alva and Mary Jenkins Ertel. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran and a Lutheran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edwina June Ertel, his son, Richard Alva Ertel, his daughter, Patricia Helen Woods, and his brother, George Ertel.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Edwin Ertel, Ronald Wayne Ertel, and Randolph Scott Ertel; daughters Penny Alyce Rushing and Pamela Lynn Ertel; half brothers J.D. Ertel and Howard W. Young; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
