MSGT (Ret) Philip Edward Cook, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sango Ward, with Bishop Spencer Hodgkin officiating. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Air Force Honors will be rendered.
The Cook family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 12 noon until the hour of service Thursday at the church.
Philip entered into this life on July 14, 1933 in Newville, Indiana, son of the late John Herbert Cook and Mildred Alice Kline Cook. He was retired from a career with the U.S. Air Force and had bravely served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Also, Philip was an exceptionally skilled Aerospace Engineer and was proud of his contributions made to NASA's Space Shuttle Program.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Cook; sons, Jeremy John Cook and wife Katie, Merl Tracy Cook, Aaron David Cook and wife Joana, and Edward Calvin Cook; children by marriage, Mark Jones and wife Elaine, Cindy Petersen, Scott Jones, Penny Munson and husband Robert, and Peter Jones and wife Jane; and grandchildren, Ethan Cook, Everett Cook, Michael Cook, McKayla Cook, Grayson Cook, and Regan Cook. He was preceded in death by his son, Bernard Cook.
