Master Sergeant Brett Raymond Davidson, age 37, passed away on Saturday 14 July 2018 after 18 years of distinguished military service in the United States Air Force. He served as a Tactical Air Control Party, Joint Terminal Attack Controller and the Operations Superintendent stationed at the 19 Air Support Operations Squadron, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Throughout his career Brett has served multiple combat deployments in support Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, the Air Force Achievement Medal and two Army Achievement Medals for his service.
Sergeant Davidson was born on June 15, 1981 in Wheeling, WV to Darlene Hennebert and Mark Lude. Fulfilling a childhood dream to serve in the military and following in the footsteps of his Grandfather Gordon R. Hennebert, who served in the Navy during WWII, Brett enlisted in the Air Force in August of 2000. Brett was an instant stand-out to his peers and unit leadership and was recognized as the #1 Airman in his flight for two years in a row. Throughout his career he was lauded as a mentor and fellow brother-in-arms and continued to be recognized with multiple awards for his superb expertise and leadership.
Even in giving so much in service to his country, Brett was also a loving husband and dedicated father. He could often be found spending his spare time living life to the fullest on his Harley-Davidson and spending time with family and friends. Brett is survived by his wife Michele Davidson; parents: Darlene Hennebert, Mark and Judi Lude, and Rich Davidson; children: Gabriel and Jaiden Davidson, and Carissa Trepanier; brothers: Bryton Davidson and Kevin Lude; sisters: Brittany Davidson and Kassi Lude.
There will be a celebration service at the McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday, 21 July 2018. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. until the service starts at 4:00 p.m. There will also be a celebration of life at the Oak Grove Kentucky American Legion on Sunday, 22 July at 1:00 p.m.
