MSG (Ret) Raymond Paul Krivacka, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full military honors will be rendered.
Ray entered into this life on January 28, 1939 in Brenham, Texas to the late Paul and Lydia Makowsky Krivacka. As a young man, Ray attended and graduated from Texas A&M. He retired from the U.S. Army following a stellar 25 year career. During his service to country, he attained the rank of Master Sergeant and bravely served in Vietnam. Some of his notable commendations include the Presidential Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, and the Air Assault Badge. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and during his peaceful retirement years he enjoyed vegetable gardening.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Joyce Rich Krivacka, and loving children, Tina DeBoer, Lisa Krivacka, Paul (Caroline) Krivacka, Patrick (Andrea) Krivacka, and Heather Krivacka. He was the loving grandfather to Kelsey DeBoer, Tyler DeBoer, Matthew DeBoer, Paul Wilson Krivacka, Alexander Krivacka, Peter Krivacka, David Krivacka, and Ivan Krivacka.
