Monford “Monk” Lee Jones, age 86 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at his home.
At this time, there are no funeral services planned.
Monford was born on October 25, 1928 in Crossville, AL, the son of the late Jesse and Alma Jones. He retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service, owned and operated Jones Nursery, and was an avid golfer, and after retirement, cared for his wife, Tiny, during her illness with Alzheimer’s. Monford was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Erith “Tiny” Lee Jones.
He is survived by his daughters, Jackie Jones and Jan (Bill) Roberts; son, Judge (Regge) Jones; sister, Chella Thorpe; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
