Mitchell Holman Olson, lovingly known as “Mitch”, age 44, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.
A Celebration of Life Service is to be announced.
Mitch entered this life on September 1, 1979 in Mendota, IL to Rebecca Langley Olson and the late Milton Olson. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harlow and Ester Olson, and his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Al Ulmer.
Mitch's journey was one of service and entrepreneurship. After dedicating over 15 years of his life to The United States Army as a Tanker and Combat Veteran, he transitioned to become the proud owner of his own trucking company. His commitment to hard work and determination shone through in every aspect of his career. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mitch's vibrant personality left a lasting impact on those around him. He had a deep affection for music and enjoyed collecting guitars. His latest project of building a guitar showcased his creative spirit and dedication to craftsmanship. Mitch also had a deep appreciation for good food and cherished moments spent with loved ones over delicious meals. His love for animals was evident to all who knew him. Those who had the privilege of knowing Mitch will remember him for his quick wit, creativity, and useless knowledge. However, above all else, Mitch's greatest joy in life came from his beloved wife and children. His love for his family and friends knew no bounds, and he always prioritized their happiness above all else.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Amanda Thyne Olson; children, Alexandrea Olson, Chloe Olson, and Zain Olson; siblings, Kathi Inman (Chuck Oplaski), and Matthew Olson (Krista); mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Kay Thyne; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Melissa (Roger) Houzenga, and Christopher (Jessica) Thyne. Mitch also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Mandi, Jessi, Trevor, Annika, Wyatt, Braxton, Brayden, Brevin, Abbi, Keaton, and Lily.
