Minnie Devasier

Minnie Lee Devasier, 86, Palmyra, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Bud Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of serivce Wednesday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 5, 1922 in Palmyra and was preceded in death by her parents, Lude and Betty Tanner Elliott; husband, Grover Devasier; brother, Robert Elliott; sister Hilda Rye; and great-granddaughter, Zoe Shafer. Mrs. Devasier was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Card and Delores Devasier, both of Palmyra; sister, Mae Dale Renner, Winchester; grandchildren, Tammy Hyatt, Tonia Shafer, both of Clarksville, Edward Card, Southside; great-grandchildren, Micah Armato, Devin Armato, Laurin Card, Layne Card, Emily Shafer. Pallbearers will be Edward Card, Layne Card, Gerald Hyatt, Micah Armato, Chris Bolin and Eric Shafer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Al Helling and Cecil McLendon
