Minerva Cornell Harris, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her home in Clarksville.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery. Minerva's family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Minerva entered into this life in Christian County, Kentucky to the late Earl and Virginia McGhee Cornell. She attended and graduated from Montgomery Central Schools and later owned and operated Harris Propane alongside her husband Gene. She was a founding member of the Hilldale United Methodist Church and currently was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church and the Les Candides Garden Club. Additionally, Minerva was a past board member of both the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. Museum and the former Memorial Hospital and a committee person for the Candlelight Ball, Flying High, and the Stock Watcher's on the Cumberland Investment Club.
Survivors include her son, David Cornell Harris and his wife Sharon, her cousins, Bette Rae Roloson, Miller Roloson, and Brian Coppedge and her other family members, Linda Drake, Brendan and Susan Duffey, and Chemin, John, and Jack Dry. In addition to her beloved husband and her parents, Minerva was predeceased by her step father, Newell Coke and her step brothers, Buddy, Cecil, Norman, Harold, and Walton Coke.
Pallbearers will be Mark Holleman, Miller Roloson, Gary Smith, Ben Stone, Brendan Duffey, and Coby Dennehy.
