Mildred Ogg

Mildred “Joyce” Ogg, 84, of McEwen, TN, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Reverend Stewart P. Salyer and Pastor Dakota Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Knight Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon.
Joyce entered this life on July 9, 1938 in Clarksville, TN, daughter to the late William Harrison Harp and Almeda Shamwell Harp. She was the oldest of four children.
Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Dean Ogg; siblings, Shirley Davis, Tarlton Harp, and Garry Harp. She will also be missed by her loving shared daughters, Judy (Brion) Joiner Smith, Stephanie (Mike) Morgan, Lori (Danny Warren) Ogg, and Vicki (Jerry) Allen; as well as four grandchildren, Chelsea Amos, Trevor Smith, Shelley Broadhead, Eric Morgan and three great-grandchildren; Zelda Amos, Evander Amos and Liam Morgan. Family was the most important thing to Joyce.
Joyce was a gifted seamstress making clothing in her earlier years, but her passion soon turned to quilting. She enjoyed teaching others to sew often challenging herself as well as others.
Joyce loved gardening, to include flowers and vegetables, which both lead to many hummingbirds and a lot of canning. Her green beans will be missed! Joyce and Bobby owned several farms where she was able to enjoy all these activities and created wonderful memories for our entire family.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Eric Morgan, Jimmy Frazee, Danny Warren, Bo Tinin, Kenneth Harp, and Nathan Bryant. Serving as honorary Pallbearers will be Trevor Smith and Bobby Amos.
