Mickey Donald Trainer, Jr., age 59, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Visitation with his family will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Mickey entered into this life on March 23, 1962, one of four children to Mickey Donald Trainer and Martha Stanley Trainer. He was a member of the Graduating Class of 1980 at Northwest High School and shortly after moved to Nashville, beginning a career with Kroger where he worked for over 38 years before his recent retirement. Also, Mickey excelled in food and catering and spent much of his time catering parties and events in the greater Nashville area over the years. He relished in the food preparation but especially loved seeing guests dine and savor his cuisines.
In addition to his father, Mickey Donald Trainer, he is predeceased by his grandparents, John and Maude Stanley and Ollie Hilderbrand and Albert Trainer. Survivors include his loving mother, Martha Trainer; siblings, Nancy (Frank) Crotzer, Beverly (JD) Bumpus, and Tommy Trainer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear and loving friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Also, the family would like to extend a special Thank You to Tennova Hospice, especially his precious nurse LaKesha and Centennial Medical Center Staff and Dr. Haixia Duan. Condolences may be made to the family at NaveFuneralHomes.com.
