Michael Winn

Michael H. Winn, 74, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Don Winn officiating. Burial will follow at Dotsonville Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 and again on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Michael was born on October 27, 1945 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Charles Thomas Winn and Carolyn Mayhew Jackson. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. Michael was a Veteran of The United States Air Force and retired from The Leaf-Chronicle as the Assistant Comptroller. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and camping in his RV.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Thomas Winn, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Shirley Griffy Winn; children, Timothy Winn, Christopher Winn, Steven (Stefanie) Winn, and Jessica (Jonathan) Strange; step-father, Charles Jackson; brothers, Don Winn and Patrick Steven Winn; grandchildren, Meagan Winn, Maria Lafferty, Alex Winn, Carly Winn, Olivia Winn, Mia Strange, and Tate Winn.

Pallbearers will be Mike Gibson, Billy Smith, Tom Drumheller, Kent Griffy, Gary Ferguson, Chad Winn, Billy Wall, and Matt Winn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dotsonville Church of Christ.
