Michael Morrison

Michael (Mike) D. Morrison passed away on May 7, 2017 at Tennova Medical Center, Clarksville, TN, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mike was born October 20, 1960 at FT. Meade, MD, the son of the late SFC Lee R. Morrison (Special Forces ) US Army, Retired and Hazel D. Morrison. He was predeceased by his father, Lee R. Morrison, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce L. Morrison , Montgomery County, TN., maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker Sr. of Saltillo, Pa. and his dog, Sadie.
He is survived by his loving mother, Hazel D. Morrison, Woodlawn, TN., a sister Patty Vaughn (Eddie) ,Woodlawn, TN., a special niece, Ashley Vaughn (Tom Adams) ,Portland, OR, an aunt Faye Gill,Clarksville, TN and his loving longtime companion, Ann Erps, Crofton, KY.
Mike was employed by Farrell- Calhoun Paints in Clarksville, TN as the store manager for the last 18 years.. He has been involved in the paint business for 36 years.
He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Mike also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He loved laughing, ribbing and telling jokes.
Mike was a 1978 graduate of Northwest High School, Clarksville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Corlew, Bill Corlew, Chris Harris, Joel Mullins, Chris Mullins, David Mullins, Justin Hawbecker, Dustin Graham, Derrell Bosworth and Eddie Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Ward, Chris Moore and Doug Hardin and all of the employees of Farrell Calhoun.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Tim Ferrell officiating and Derrell Bosworth giving the eulogy. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. until hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
