Michael James Lentine

Michael James Lentine, born on October 16, 1968, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, passed away on January 12, 2025. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family as well as his vibrant personality that touched the lives of many.

Michael had a varied and fulfilling career. He served with honor in the Georgia National Guard 214th Field Artillery Regiment from 1986 to 2004. Concurrent with his duty to country, he worked as a Park Ranger for the State of South Carolina from 1991 to 2003, where he cultivated his love for nature and the outdoors. In 2003, upon his move to Tennessee, he transitioned to a career as a Cable Installer for Mediacom and continued his career there until 2018.

A passionate individual, Michael was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Falcons. Much to the amusement of his family, Michael's favorite color was purple! There was never a missed opportunity to remind him of this! Michael had a varied career, enjoyed following his football and baseball, and was immensely dedicated to his country, but his steadfastness and love for his family was unparalleled.

Michael leaves behind his devoted wife, Christine Henschel Lentine, and his children and their spouses: Madeline Freeman (Justin), Kaitlyn Alexander (Dylan), Michaela Snow (Kyle), Lincoln Lentine, Markus Laewen (Rachel), and Lukas Laewen (Ashley). He is also survived by his brother, Brian Pless, and his stepmother, Lynn Lentine. Michael's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Luciana, Piper, Serenity, Calypso, Raven, Alexander, Zachary, Mario, and Leo, who will remember him fondly. Additionally, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and friends, all of whom were greatly impacted by Michael's kind and caring nature.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lentine; his mother, Karen Smith Buchanan; his step-father, John Pless; his brother, James "Jimmy" Lentine; and his grandson, Jackson Freeman.

His dedication to his family and country, along with his joyful spirit and love for life, will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory is a cherished gift that will continue to inspire and connect his loved ones for years to come.
