Melvin Rushing

Melvin Don `Curley` Rushing, 63, Clarksville, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 PM Monday at Clarksville Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Bob Creasy officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-5pm Sunday at The Clarksville Church of God of Prophecy and from 10am until service time Monday at the church.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rushing was born December 7, 1945 in Montgomery Co. son of the late Medford David Rushing and Betty E. Riggins Rushing. Along with his father, he was preceeded in death by brother,Bill Rushing. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and longtime retired employee of Ajax Distributing Co. Along with his mother of Clarksville, he is survived by daughters; Dana K. Rushing, Kimberly M.(Richard) Strange, Christy L. Hagewood,son; Donnie W. Rushing, brothers; Vaughn Rushing and Danny L. Rushing all of Clarksville; sisters Cindy M.(Robert) Rushing Milam of Murfreesboro, TN, Judy K.(James) Rushing Brown of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and ten grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Josh Milam, Robert Milam, Archie Browning, Vaughn Rushing. Dustin Brown, Eric Ketner, and Keith Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Brown and Larry Haynes.
