Melvin Black - 1946 Mr.Melvin Eugene Black, 63, Erin, died Tuesday, August 4,2009, at Patients Choice. The funeral will be held at 11am Friday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.David Steppee officiating. Burial will be in Peach Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm till 8pm Thursday and from 8am till service Friday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 4,1946 in Houston County,Tn. son of the late Virgil and Marie Kemp Black. Mr.Black was a retired brick mason. Survivors include his wife Cathey Tomlinson Black of Erin,Tn. one daughter April Severson of Erin,Tn.four brothers Edward Black of Franklin,Tn.James Black, Billy Black, Wayne Black two sisters Peggy Weaver, Nora Black all of Erin,Tn. three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Justin Black, Jeremery Black, Micah Black, Birdie Black, Jerry Lee Black, Gerold Boone Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Ernest Pulley.
