Mavis Rosie Lee Reason Mohon, age 92 of Clarksville, passed away on May 4, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Mike Madewell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, May 6 and from 10 AM until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Mavis worked for Petri Cigar Factory and Hudson Brothers Eggs and was an avid quilter. She entered this life on April 28, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Joe Reason and Zula Edmonds Reason.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Acree Mohon; daughter, Gearldine Mohon; brothers, Joe, Jet, and Frank Reason; sisters, Beulah Scaggs, Mary Kalpinski, Jane Wallington, and Betty Cooper; half siblings, Joe and John Reason and Cora Reason Boren.
She is survived by sister, Jeanette Simmons of Hopkinsville; daughter, Peggy Mohon Smith; son Freddy Mohon of Clarksville; grandchildren, Don Smith, Scott (Roxana) Smith of Clarksville, and Amy (Ronnie) Morgan of Big Rock; great-grandchildren, Samantha Fryer, Ashley Smith, Serena Fryer, Katelyn Smith, and Hailey Smith.
