Matt was born on April 24, 1982, in Montgomery County, TN to Timmy Potter and Lisa Potter. He is the grandson of Lemoine and Patricia Black. Matt had a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He spent many years racing at Clarksville Speedway and loved being in the shop with his papaw.
