Mary Young

Mary Ellen Young, 73, Clarksville, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hilldale Church of Christ with Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 23, 1936 in Montgomery County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, Bracey and Mabel Smith Bryant; husband, John Thomas Young. Mrs. Young was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ where she was the Bookkeeper. She was a member of the Montgomery County Retarded Citizens Association and formerly served on the Board of Directors of Progressive Directions. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Young, Clarksville, Jonellen (Richard) Cheyney, Seal Beach, CA; brother, Charles H. Bryant, Nashville; sisters, Ann Moore, Pleasant View, Violet Keay and Nancy Balthrop, both of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Terry Keay, Larry Keay, Dan Moore, Dennis Bryant, Mike Seay, Kenneth Young, Douglas Strunk and Jim Bryant.
