Mary Jean Whisenant, 85, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Waterford of Sango Assisted Living.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Harold "Sonny" Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3-7 p.m. and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whisenant was born March 28, 1930 in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by her parents, Finis Y. and Jessie Holt Morrison; three husbands, Perry Proctor Jr., Joe Wayne Gordan, Carry Ellis Whisenant; son, Dennis Wayne Proctor; brothers, Roy Morrison, Howell Morrison; and sister, Martha Hughes.
She was a former sales clerk for Singer Sewing and Harveys and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Milan Ray Proctor; daughters, Cynthia June Proctor, Patti Proctor Carter; and the Whisenant children; sisters, June Bryant, Faye Matthews, Sharon York; and several grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
