Mary Vaughn

Mary Alice Vaughn, 68, Dover, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. James Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. She was born February 9, 1940 in Union City, TN daughter of James D. Hamilton and Lydia Condra Hamilton. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of First Baptist Church in Dover and a homemaker. Survivors include her father, James D. Hamilton; husband, Larry Vaughn; sons, Mark Vaughn Lt. Col. U.S. Army Retired, Chris Vaughn Chief Petty Officer U.S. Navy Retired; daughters, Lydia Hogan, Laura Hill Moran; grandchildren, Jerrod Vaughn, Jenna Crouse, Kevin Vaughn, Amy Vaughn, Kristina Vaughn, Ayden Vaughn, Joey Hill, Derek Hill, Allison Wallace, Jordan Hogan, Jessica Hogan and Joshua Hogan; and a sister, Reta Hamilton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
