Mary Shelton

Mary Frances Shelton, 62, Clarksville, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Greg Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service, Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Vincesses, IND. Mrs. Shelton was born March 3, 1949 in Pontiac, MI and was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Francis and Clarice E. Mardlin Ballou; her husband, Bert Shelton; and her brother, Gene Powell. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Chruch. Survivors include her sons, James E. Profitt, Jeral Profitt, both of Illinois; daughter, Ruby Proctor, Petersburg, TN; brother, Herm Powell, Oklahoma; sisters, Nancy Kraus, Cunningham, and Sarajane of Springfield, TN; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203.
