Mary Maples

Mary Lois Maples, age 91 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at DoverCare Center, in Dover, TN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon.

Mary entered this life on April 19, 1932 in Houston County, TN, daughter to the late Columbus “Lum” Tanner and Minnie Bradford Tanner.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Eugene Dennis; daughter; Patricia Carter; siblings, Clayton Tanner, Percy Tanner, Hugh Tanner, Grady Tanner, John Tanner, Gene Tanner, Barthell Tanner and Geneva Saburn.

Survivors include her loving children, Gary Dennis (Melinda), Bobby Dennis (Kathy), Jackie Dennis (Ellen) and Minnie Ruth Dennis. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Crystal Chappell, Chris Dennis, Chelcie Dennis, Jamie Dennis, Eric Schmidt, Candi Dennis, Jonathan Dennis, Kaitlyn Dennis, Brandie Howell, Mollie Manners; step-grandchildren; Ben Scarborough, Kayce Mathis, Kalei Bryson; as well as 14 great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Dennis, Willie Dennis, Mike Lindsey, Randy Lindsey, David Lindsey, Ben Scarborough and Brayden Carter.
