Mary McReynolds Harpel, 85, Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Lenoir Culbertson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 22, 1924 in Clarksville and was preceded in death by her parents, William Harris and Phil Roach McReynolds; husband, James Correy Harpel; son, James Correy Harpel Jr.; brother, William Harris McReynolds Jr. Mrs. Harpel was the former owner of McReynolds Funeral Home. She attended Mary Baldwin College and was a graduate of Austin Peay State University. Mrs. Harpel was a member of the Lovely Ladies and Madison Street United Methodist Church. She was actively involved with the Roxy Theatre for years serving many different roles from an acrtress to life long supporter. Survivors include her sons, Bill (Suzanne) Harpel, Phil (Laura) Harpel; daughter, Harris (Brent) Buddenhagen; daughter-in-law, Cindy Harpel; grandchildren, Kimberly (Andrew) Wadycki, Leigh Harpel, Correy (Sonny) Emmert and Trey Harpel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
