Mary Griffy

Mary Elizabeth Griffy, 70, Clarksville, died Friday, June 25, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Wilee's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 27, 1940 in Perry Co., TN, daughter of William and Dovie Bryson Holder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelley W. Griffy, and her son Randy Griffy. Mrs. Griffy was a homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include her son Roy Griffy, grandson Roy W. Griffy, great-grandson Kenneth Griffy, all of Clarksville, and brother Robert Holder of Linden, TN. Pallbearers will be Kent Griffy, Jimmy Dean Shepherd, John Dennis, Ledbetter Shepherd, Terry Dennis, and James Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert Griffy and Steve Griffy.
