Mary Griffin

Mary W. Griffin, age 91, of Erin, TN passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Signature Health Care facility in Erin. She was the oldest daughter of the late Grady and Mary Nolia Coleman Griffin and was born in Houston County, TN on Nov. 29, 1920. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nannie Dreaden in 2008 and Velma Sykes on August 13, 2012. She enjoyed raising flowers, cooking, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the Erin Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by four sisters, Dorothy Walker, Sue Griffin and Martha Knight of Clarksville, TN and Norma Collier of Starkville, MS. She is also survived by one brother Robert Griffin of Russellville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mary Griffin will be conducted on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11am at Nave Funeral Home Chapel in Erin with Rev. Ernie Arnold and Rev. Jeff Stark officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Tuesday, August 21, 2012 and from 9am until service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Erin Nazarene Church or the charity of their choice.
