Mary Kathryn Gervais, departed this life on July 27, 2024. Born on August 28, 1942, in Huntington, West Virginia, Mary lived a life full of purpose and dedication to her faith, family, and country.
Throughout her career at Fort Campbell, Mary exhibited immense dedication and professionalism in her role, earning the respect and admiration of all who crossed her path. Mary was retired from Fort Campbell Civil Service where she worked as a Supply Technician Supervisor, providing essential logistical support for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. She was known for her dedication and professionalism. Outside of her professional endeavors, Mary found solace and joy in the companionship of loved ones and her faith. She was a devout Catholic who found comfort and belonging in the fellowship at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church during her time in Clarksville. After relocating to Stewart County, she continued to foster this sense of community at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mary's love for reading enriched her life and her passion for literature was matched only by her love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband SFC (Ret) Phillip W. Gervais, parents Carl and Mary Johnson, and her son, Billy Wimber. Survivors include her daughter Stacy White; sons Thomas Gervais (Jessica) and James Wimber; sister Carol Ann Johnson; grandchildren Shelby, Katie, Maddy, Caylie, Edie, Xavier, Sophia, Heaven , Stephan, and Ashlyn; as well as her nephew Michael; and 2 great grandchildren.
The visitation will take place on Sunday, August 4th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville with a Rosary service beginning at 5:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Following this service there will be a committal ceremony at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
In remembrance of Mary Gervais' life filled with love, dedication, and faith may we find solace in the memories shared and the lessons taught by this remarkable individual who touched so many lives with kindness and grace. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of the Divine she so faithfully worshipped throughout her journey on Earth.
