Mary Frances Hinson, age 93, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Lewis Cemetery, Houston County with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Frances entered into this life on December 13, 1924, daughter to Henry Thomas Lewis and Byde Nolen Lewis. Frances' home was a refuge for many people. She freely served others through her writing, research, artwork, and faith. She was a member of both the Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Houston County Historical Society.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dudley Hinson; daughter, Mary Hinson Rosson; siblings, Olentha Scarborough, Bettye Summers, and Hewgley "Pete" Lewis; half brother, Jack Parchman; and siblings by marriage; John M. Parchman, Ruby Lashlee, and Betty Williams. She is survived by her children, Charles T. Hinson (Sandra L. Husk) of San Diego, CA and Kathy Picard (Joe) of Burkburnett, TX; grandchildren, Joely Anderson (Jim), Jennifer Babineaux (Patrick), Natalie McCaslin (J.P.), and Leslie Segla (Robert); and eight great grandchildren.
