The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Frances Barnes Weiland, 78, will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 499 Commerce Street, Clarksville, TN. Dr. Ronny Raines, Dr. Roger Freeman, and Rev. Larry Riley will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Mrs. Weiland died in her home in Clarksville early Sunday morning, October 20, 2024. A native of Centerville, she was the wife of Douglas Weiland, to whom she was married for 60 years, and the daughter of the late James and Mildred Barnes.
A devoted wife, she was a loving mother and homemaker, a delightful sister and friend, and a precious aunt. Mary always had a beautiful smile. She enjoyed meals with family and friends, and was fond of fishing and traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarksville since 1967.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her sister, Deborah Cook (late Eddie), of Centerville, Tennessee; brother-in-law, David Weiland (Annette), of Klondike, Texas; brother-in-law, Donnie Weiland (Martha), of Waller, Texas; brother-in-law, Dennis Weiland (Judy), of Clarksville; and brother-in-law, Daryl Weiland (Cheryl), of La Vergne, Tennessee; as well as eight nieces and five nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her children, Michael Douglas and Mary Chris Weiland, and her nephew, Don Weiland.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund in Clarksville and to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville.
