Mary L. Currie, 79, Clarksville, has moved to her specially prepared mansion in Heaven to sit with her Saviour at the right hand of God, Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with her husband, Chaplain Charles Currie and Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Monday at 11 a.m.. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. She was born October 13, 1929 in Ashtabula, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Ruth Griswald Hubbard. She was married on September 3, 1948. Mary and Charles just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Mrs. Currie was a homemaker and retired from H&R Block as a tax preparer after 21 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, YMCA. She attended Andrews School for Girls and enjoyed sewing, playing sports, vocal and instrumental music and participated in the German Bible Study at Ft. Campbell, KY. Survivors include her husband, Charles C. Currie, Clarksville; daughters, Rebecca (Dan) Womack, Clarksville, Roberta Jane (Wayne) Pace, Atlanta, GA, Mary Beth (Cecil) Morgan, Clarksville; sons, Bruce (Karen) Currie, Clarksville, Doug (Janene) Currie, Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Chrissy Womack, Debbie Harrison, Teresa Ridgeway, Amanda Pace, Cecil Morgan III, Jessica Womack, Benjamin Morgan, Ian Currie, Erin Currie, Emily Currie, Lindsey Currie, Jenna Currie; great-grandchildren, Brittney Whitley, Tyler Harrison, Sam Ridgeway and Cate Ridgeway.
