Mary Coleman

Mary Ida Coleman, age 81 of Erin, TN, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Houston County Community Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Harriet Bryan Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery.

The Coleman family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday afternoon.

Mary entered this life on November 11, 1942 in Erin, TN, daughter to the late Rev. John Isham Alsobrooks and Susie Conatser Alsobrooks. Mary was a member of the Methodist Church, and was a lifelong resident of Houston County where she affected the lives of so many during her lifetime. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Coleman; siblings; Futrell Alsobrooks, and Mai Bell Foster.

Survivors include her loving children, Randall Coleman, Kendall (Carla) Coleman, Weldon (Nora) Coleman, Sidney (Emily) Coleman, Lila (Michael) Gunson, Lance (Tonya) Coleman, Olivia (Raymond) Rosado; and sister, Dorothy (Glen) Scarlett. Mary also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alexander Coleman, JohnClay Coleman, Elisha Coleman, Tim Coleman, Eugene Foster, and Gavyn Gunson. Greg McClain will serve as honorary pallbearer.
