Mary Alice Marable Carr was born on June 25, 1948 to the late Morris and Mary Maxine Powers Marable. She departed this earthly life for her heavenly reward on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Dickson, TN.
She was educated in the Houston County School System. She accepted Christ at an early age at Steele’s Chapel CME Church, Kizer Ridge, Erin, TN, now known as Thomas Chapel. She shared her love for God by attending a number of churches in the surrounding counties. She was currently handling Bread of Life until her health prevented her from doing so.
She enjoyed singing gospel music. She kept her faith through numerous health issues and always remained faithful to Gods word.
Mary Alice was married to Wilbur Carr on March 14, 1970, and to this union was born her pride and joy, a daughter, Elisha Carr.
Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ella Mae Conyers; brothers, Morris Lee, Raymond, Charles, Sam and Jerry Marable.
She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, Wilbur Carr and daughter, Elisha Carr, both of Erin, TN; her siblings, Mary Elizabeth McClay, Jimmy and Sammy Marable, all of Erin, TN; mother-in-law, Willine Austin; brother-in-laws, Michael (Gina) Thomas, Watson (Renee) Thomas, George Kevin (Sylvia) Thomas, David Skelton; sister-in-law, Rev. Freda Hall, Addie (Johnny) Smith, Jewel (Tommy) Robinson, Virginia (Fasil) Alim, Minnie Marable; a very devoted niece, Ethel Gilliland; a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
