Mary L. Burkett, 86, Clarksville passed away, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab Center.
A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burkett was born July 16, 1928 in Dickson, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, James Price and Mary Spann Baggett; 1st husband, Joseph Arthur Choate; second husband, Albert Tom Burkett; daughters, Glenda Rogers and Ina Mai Choate.
She was a Baptist, loved to read, and a former Foster Grandparent.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Keith Choate; daughters, Lois Hargis, Mattie (Paul) Barrs, Judy (Dave) Smith, Mary Choate; eighteen grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; as well as her cherished extended family and Clarksville Nursing and Rehab.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
