Mary Lois Baggett, devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister and friend left the trials of this life and began the joys of the next on January 17, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church. Her son, Pastor Bryan Baggett, will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Mary's family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the church.
Born May 29, 1948, Mary Lois lived all her earthly days in Montgomery County. The daughter of Billy Z. Batson and Amye Vista Dunn Crafton, she was blessed to grow up with her older siblings, whom she loved dearly, Larry (Tennie) Batson, Barbara (James) Britt, and Donald (Mary Helen) Batson, all of Cunningham. She is now reunited in heaven with her father, mother, brother Donald and infant sister she never knew, Amye Jane.
She was happily married for over 52 years to the love of her life, Charles E. Baggett, also of Montgomery County. Together they had three wonderful children, of whom she was so proud, Amye “Suzanne” Brown, Bryan (Kris) Baggett, and Jason (Abbie) Baggett, all of whom live in Clarksville. “Grandmommy” will also be missed by six dear grandchildren, Patrick (Ashley) Baggett, Katie Baggett, Allie Brown, Ethan Baggett, Jaycie Baggett and Marissa Baggett. All of whom never doubted her love for them.
The life of love for others that she lived was surpassed only by her undying love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a very active member of Bible Baptist Church for over fifty years, where she served as Sunday School teacher, choir member, visitation leader, prayer warrior and provider of hundreds of meals for others over the years. It was her desire that all those that she knew here on this earth would come to know and love her Lord as she did. Even when the struggles of her cancer ridden body were so great, she spoke only of God’s goodness and blessings to her.
