Mary Abernathy

Mary Grace Abernathy, 91, Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave-Larson Chapel with Bro. John Hester officiating. Burial will be in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. She was born September 6, 1917 in Dickson County, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, McCauley and Anna Weems Gray; her husband, James Dudley Abernathy. Mrs. Abernathy was a homemaker, a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, James Gray Abernathy, Palmyra, John McCauley (Debbie) Abernathy, Louisville, KY, Robert Weems (Sherry) Abernathy, Cunningham; daughter, Frances Abernathy (David) Hall, Clarksville; grandchildren, Samantha (Mike) Irwin, Kimberly (Heath) Aeria, Pam Abernathy, Regina Abernathy, Jill Lodowski; great-grandchildren, Shelby Ann Irwin, Lauren Elizabeth Lodowski and William Martin Aeria. Pallbearers will be Sanford Gray, McCauley Gray, Charles Gray, David Hall and Michael Irwin, John Davidson and Mike Abernathy Memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Bobby Mills, 451 Fentress Lane, Clarksville, TN 37040
