Martha Agnes Payne, 93, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Montgomery Care & Rehab.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Monday. February 13, 2012 at People's Funeral Chapel, Hanford, CA. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Laton, CA.
She was born September 28, 1918 in Paden, OK, daughter of Porter Edgar Smith and Sarah Jane Coleman Smith. Martha was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, quilting, embroidering, and playing games. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Paye, sons, Kelly Payne and Chester Payne, sisters, Ina Smith and Sue Miller, and brothers, Ben Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy L. Puckett of Clarksville, sisters, Ida Tiger of Selma, CA and Maxine Mansfield of dell City, OK, brothers, Chester Smith of Choctaw, OK and Dan Smith of Paden, OK, and son-in-law, James Puckett of Clarksville, TN.
