Jean Dawson Smith, age 85 of Stewart, TN, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Wilson Coffelt officiating. Entombment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Stewart, TN.
Family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.
Jean entered this life on September 21, 1931 in Tipton County, TN, daughter to the late Melvin and Mildred Johnson Dawson.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Smith; daughter, Marcella Calanno; and granddaughter, Leonora Calanno.
Survivors include her son, Blake Smith (Jacky); daughters, Tammy Montgomery, Ann Hankins (Hank); brothers, Lawrence Dawson, Royce Dawson, Wayne Dawson; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
