Martha Holt

Martha Addison Evans Holt, age 91, of Clarksville, TN, went to join her Savior in heaven on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at McReynolds- Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Ferrell, Reverend Rocky Johnson and her son Philip Holt officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hickory Point Church Cemetery.
Martha was born to Herbert Evans and Nora Crotzer Evans on July 2, 1926. Martha worked at B.F. Goodrich and Acme Boot and served her family as a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Hickory Point United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband; James Philip “Dick” Holt, two brothers; Chester Evans and Gene Evans, two sisters; Pauline McCormack and Lorene Pitts, son in law; Michael Barrett, and grandson; Tyler Barrett. She is survived by her children; Peggy Barrett, Philip and Debbie Holt, Darrell and Nicole Holt, and her children of heart; Norris Heggie, Horace Heggie, Nancy Smith, and Bert Clinard. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Laura and Timmy Mann, Kimberly Barrett, Jason and Melissa Holt, Robert Matthew and Tiffany Griffey, Gracie Holt, and Anna Holt; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holt, Robert Matthew Griffey, Timmy Mann, Bert Clinard, Garrett Jensen, Charles McCormack, and Blake Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Heggie, Norris Heggie, Nancy Smith, Terry Pitts, and Gerry Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shop with a Cop in Martha’s name at P.O. Box 1863, Clarksville, TN 37041-1863.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Mattie Harris for the love and dedication she has shown Martha over the past six years.
