Martha Belle Brooks, age 75, Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 in Nashville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home, Erin, with the Rev. Haley Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
Martha entered into this life on February 25, 1938 in Erin, TN. She was the daughter of Deven and Gertie Belle Brown Richardson. She was a member of the church family at Spring Hill United Methodist Church and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Eugene "Gene" Brooks.
She is survived by her loving family which includes her sons, Tony Brooks (Pam Lamonte) of Erin and Terry E. Brooks of Tennessee Ridge; daughter, Michelle Winders (Wayne) of Sharon Grove, KY; brother, Thomas Richardson of Clarksville; and sisters, Rebecca Kangas of Taylor, MI, Lola Hagler of Tennessee Ridge, and Jessie Mixon of Clarksville. She was the loving Granny to Brandon Brooks (Tiffany), Stephanie Jones, Deven Winders, Bobbie Jo Haynes, Krista Alexander and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brooks, Kenny Baggett, Kenny Breeden, Richard Brooks, Eddie Brooks and Ray Elliott.
