Martha Jane Jerles Black, 58, Clarksville, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roy Mullens officiating. Burial will be in Black Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 30, 1949 in Clarksville, daughter of Mack and Helen Seay Jerles. Mrs. Black was employed by Acme Boot for 16 years and Toshiba for 9 years. Other than her parents of Clarksville, survivors include her husband, Dorris Black, Clarksville; son, Jeffery Todd Smith, Clarksville; brothers, Mickey Jerles, Clarksville, Mike Jerles, Hopkinsville; sisters, Barbara Mirabal, New Mexico, Doris Butcher, Alabama; grandchildren, Christian Smith, Jordon Smith and Jessica Nelson, all of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Black, Mickey Jerles, Mike Jerles, Christian Smith, Tim Hamilton and Pablo Mirabal. Robert Seay will serve as honorary pallbearer.
