Marshall Emanual Slate, 57, Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Slate was born May 26, 1956 in Montgomery County and was the son of the late Emanual and Louise Elizabeth Garrett Slate.
He was employed by the Trane Company for 40 years and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Carr Slate; step-son, Jason Dailey; step-daughter, Mary Harriss; brother, Thomas Slate; and his sister Earlene Slate.
