She was much loved by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed. She was born August 28, 1926 in Christian Country Kentucky to Delma and V. R. Stockdale and the oldest of nine children. Marjorie graduated from High School in Montgomery County then enrolled at what was then Trevecca College in Nashville. Following graduation she enrolled in Austin Peay College where she received a Masters in Education. Because of a call to preach, she enrolled in Nazarene Seminary in Kansas, City Missouri. Following graduation she took a job at Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Florida where she taught advanced biology classes for several years. Marjorie was active in starting a new Nazarene Church in Fort Walton, Florida. Marjorie met and married Billy H. Marlow in July 15, 1967 at Pensacola, Florida and her life changed dramatically. When her husband's career required her to make a move she joined him in Savannah, GA and taught school in various private schools in Savannah. Both were very active in the Central Church of the Nazarene. Marjorie and her husband adopted two children while in Savannah: William Howard Marlow and Donna Marie Marlow. After teaching school for several years and raising her son and daughter, Marjorie decided to pursue a new career and enrolled in a two year program for nursing in Savannah. Upon successful completion of that work with a new license in practical nursing she worked in a nursing home in Pooler, GA. With a change in her husband's career she moved with him to Bainbridge, GA where she raised her son and worked at the Memorial Hospital Nursing home. Billy was transferred to Cincinnati and Marjorie decided it was time to retire. Marjorie was very active in Nazarene Church affairs including serving as an interim pastor at the Bainbridge, GA Nazarene Church. Over the next several years Marjorie participated in Work and Witness activities in Kenya Africa, the Dominican Republic, two trips to Mexico, and one to home missions activity Indianapolis, IN. When her husband was transferred to Cincinnati, Ohio, Marjorie again moved. She accompanied her husband on business trips to all but 2 of the lower 50 states and personal trips to Canada and Hawaii. Marjorie was a very much loved and well rounded person with five separate careers over the years. She is survived by her husband, Billy Howard Marlow; son, Howard and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Christian Logan, Austin Cale and Trinity Rhayne of Kennesaw, GA; daughter, Donna Marie Marlow of Tifton, GA; brothers, Billy and Ray Stockdale of Cumberland Furnace; sisters, Elizabeth Ferrell, Nashville, Winnie Odemeyer, Clarksville, Louise Rye, Clarksville, Evelyn Smith, Akron, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
