Marion Osborne Meadows, age 87 formerly of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at his home in Clarksville, TN while surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Crossroads Community Cemetery.
The Meadows family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon.
Marion entered this life on April 19, 1937 in Erin, TN, son to the late Clyde Dale Meadows and Mary Osborne Meadows. At the age of 17, Marion joined the United States Navy where he faithfully served his country for 4 years. Following his years of service, Marion worked as an electrician at TVA Cumberland Fossil Plant where he retired after 31 years. He was a member of IBEW and was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Church. In his retirement years, Marion enjoyed playing his guitar and singing in church, watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, telling jokes, and playing the lottery, but his true passion was spending time with his family. Marion was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friends to so many; he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, JoAnn Adams Meadows; siblings, Billy (Norma) Meadows, Jeri Claire Meadows-Swartz, and Sophia Jean (Thomas) Clark.
Survivors include his loving daughters, Sherry (Albert) McCarty, Sandra Parchman (Bill Poteet), Melisssa Meadows (Clif) Sites, Kathy (David) Britt; Marion also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Leanne Parchman (Travis) Venable, Emilee Poteet (Wesley) Gray, BJ (Christine) McCarty, Nick (Carrie) McCarty; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Olivia Venable.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Meadows, Gary Meadows, Derek Meadows, Jimmy Clark, Greg McAskill, Jason Burgess, Jeff Hendry, and Travis Venable.
