Marilyn Campbell

June 21, 1931 — November 13, 2017

Marilyn Ida (McConnell) Campbell, beloved Mother, Grammy and Great-Grammy, and Great-Great Grammy, entered into the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1931 in Hartford, Connecticut to Hobart D. and Jennie A. (Mackie) McConnell.
She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years James E. Campbell, her son James D. Campbell, her parents Hobart D. and Jennie A. McConnell, her sisters and their spouses Eleanor and Theodore Kryszak and Patricia A. and Robert B. Campbell, her brother David D. and wife Miranda McConnell and her nephew Kenneth D. Kryszak.
She is survived by one sister, Noemys Isolina McConnell of Valrico, FL., one nephew Keith Alan Kryszak of San Antonio, TX; six children, son Donald Bruce and wife Julie of Memphis, TN, and daughters Kathryn Diane (Kathy) Campbell of Pensacola, FL, Janet Elizabeth Campbell of Clarksville, Barbara Louise Fields and husband Dusty of LaVergne, TN, Carolyn Ruth Meredith of Clarksville and Sara Jane Griffin of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren Melody C. Campbell, Jennipher D. (Jeff) Bertrand, Johnathan E. (Nicole) Campbell, Paul A. Campbell, Sean W. (Shelley) Knowles, James E. (Amanda) Knowles, Stephanie L. Fields, Bryan W. (Jackie) Fields, Leslie M. (Brandon) Meredith Marcum and Baylie G. Meredith, twelve great-grandchildren Samantha Bertrand, Tyler B. Patrick, Dayva R. and Reed C. Campbell, Makenzie G. and Sebastian W. Campbell, Deven M., Dylan J. T. and Hayley D. L. Knowles, Anastasia M. and Dustynn T. Fields, and Madelyn Ida Marcum, one great-great grandson Jordan J. Patrick.
Marilyn resided at Fieldstone Place in Clarksville for the past nine years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Fieldstone for the compassionate care they provided during her stay there.
It was Marilyn’s desire to be cremated; therefore, a celebration of her life and memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Guertin officiating. Visitation at Mt. Pleasant will be at 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Her ashes will be interred next to her husband at Mt. Pleasant. For those who desire, contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church memorial fund.
