Margit Christa Rathge

Margit Christa (Krauser) Rathge, of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 after a long battle with lung disease. 

Margit was born on April 2, 1946, in Fulda, Germany. She married and moved to the United States in 1986. Known as Christa by friends and family, she enjoyed working in her flower beds, puzzling, caring for others, and was an avid reader. She and her husband fostered over 30 children over the years.

Margit is survived by her husband of 38 years, CW4 Michael Rathge (USA Retired); daughters, Marion Gröne-Authement and Kristine (Jason) Pollock; sister, Gisela Müller; sister, Inge (Ernst) Röbig; niece, Steffi (Marcus) Schwab; nephew, Alexander Röbig, and his wife, Alexandra; and grandchildren, Jackson, and Ella Pollock. 

No services are planned at this time. 

Memorials may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church or Manna Café in Clarksville.
