Margie Sue Pruitt

Margie Sue Pruitt, aged 83, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Saturday, September 21, 2024. She felt blessed to have spent her latter days sharing a home with her son, George and granddaughter, Shala. Born on October 1, 1940, in Ohatchee, Alabama, Margie led a life marked by kindness and generosity that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

For the majority of her working life, Margie worked as a caregiver, a testament to her compassionate spirit. Her heart was most content when she was helping others, always going above and beyond to ensure those around her felt loved and cared for. Her dedication as a caregiver was well-known, and she approached each day with warmth and empathy.

Margie had a passion for gardening that brought her immense joy. The beauty she cultivated in her surroundings mirrored her gentle personality, and she took pride in nurturing both plants and relationships.

Margie is survived by her cherished children: George Mendez, Kim Donegan, James Donegan, Michael Donegan, and Joey Gaines. She was also the beloved sister of Charles Pruitt, Ricky Pruitt, and Sandra Pruitt. Her legacy continues through her thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and lessons she imparted throughout her life.

Margie was preceded in death by her daughter Belinda Donegan, and her parents Pearley and Opal Pruitt. Their memories will forever be held dear by Margie's family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, located at 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040.

Margie's kind and thoughtful spirit will be profoundly missed, and her contributions to the lives of many will never be forgotten.
