Willie Margaret Sims Harris Wallace, 90, Clarksville, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Louie Montoya officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wallace was born in Clarksville on April 20, 1918, daughter of Nathaniel A. and Emma Lillian Suggs Sims. She was retired from Parks Belk Department Store and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Thelma D. Harris (killed in WWII) and Russell E. Wallace; also brothers, Billy Sims and Rudolph Sims; sisters, Ruth Martin, Ruby Patterson, Buyde Steiner, Irene Barbee, Elizabeth Nixon, twin sister, Lillian Yarbrorough and Mary Alice Parker. She is survived by daughter, Faye (Bob) Dever, Clarksville; son, Jerry W. (Betty) Harris, Indianapolis; sister, Marion Riddle, Bennington, VT: stepsons, Russell E. (Judy) Wallace, Jr., Frank E. (Linda) Wallace, Billy W. (Jan) Wallace and stepdaughter, Shirley M. (Wayne) Yarbrough, all of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Lisa (Stephen) Gore, Bobby (Kellie) Dever and Wayne Harris; two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
