Margaret Simpson

Margaret Jewel Vawter Simpson, age 91, of Clarksville passed May 29, 2017, at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living.
She was born March 1, 1926, in Elkhorn, WV, and is preceded in death by parents Sarah Elizabeth Paxton and Nelson Carlisle Vawter, her husband Emory Clarence Simpson; son Michael Anthony Simpson; daughter, Deidre Lynn Simpson, and all ten brothers and sisters.
Margaret is survived by nephew, Ronnie Hawks and wife Wanda of Bristol VA, niece Susie Karen Vawter of Bramwell WV, and friends, Bitsy, Martha, Dalia, Mary Kay, Bethel United Methodist Women, loving staff at Dogwood Bend and AseraCare.
Margaret is a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and retired after many years with Clarksville-Montgomery Co. School System.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 and Friday 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Service be 11 a.m. on June 2, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Apelu Poe officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be; Ronnie Hawks, Robert Ott, Carl Gadsey, and the men of Bethel UMC.
Margaret loved flowers and had favorite charities of your choice: VFW, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Bethel UMC, and also Alive Hospice who cared for her daughter Deidre who passed away in April 2016.
