Margaret Lucille Smith Oldham, age 91 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on March 28, 2017 at Lebanon Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Revs. Phillip Chambers and Roger Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born on May 15, 1925 in the Gum Springs community, the daughter of the late Joseph Smith and Ada Davis Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Oldham; son, Gary Oldham; son-in-law, Charles B. Chandler.
Margaret went to Gum Springs School during her youth and later worked in child care for Long Hollow Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Hendersonville for 30 years. She was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Kay Chandler and Patty S. (Fab) Conley; son, Mark W. (Lisa Baker) Oldham; daughter-in-law, Sandra Oldham; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Austin Chandler, Roger Chandler, Jacob Oldham, Andrew Mackey, Clyde Karnes, Carlton Oldham, and Fab Conley.
