Margaret Mae Herndon

Margaret Mae Herndon, age 84, born March 2, 1928 to Paul and Ethel Atkins in Cub Creek, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Revs. Paul Nolan and Betty Coghill officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Herndon is survived by her two sons, Maurice F. (Mary Lee) Herndon of Richmond, VA. and Bill R. (Jan) Herndon of Clarksville, TN; granddaughters, Kim Hart, Kelly Phipps, Amy Spence and Ann Herndon; great grandchildren, Billy Davidson, Cody Davidson, Clayton Spence, Carter Phipps, Jackson Phipps, Nathan Phipps and Savannah Phipps; great-great grandchild, Kaydence Davidson; and her siblings, Ann Steeley and William Atkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lt. (Ret) Russell Herndon, Clarksville Police Dept., and her siblings, Charles Atkins, Reams Atkins, and Francis Unger.
Mrs. Herndon retired from Frosty Morn and was a member of the Clarksville Church of God.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Spence, Stanley Bumpus, Seth Jackson, Jon Martis, Richie Steeley, and Darrin Cilk.
