Margaret Heaton

Margaret Edna Heaton, age 80 of Cunningham, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Margaret entered this life on September 8, 1940 in Montogmery County to the late David Byrd and Nellie Bumpus Byrd. She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, retired from Acme Boot, and eventually opened Grandma’s Little Angels clothing store.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lewis Heaton; children, Luther Lee Dyce, and Margaret Elaine Dyce, and sister, Barbara Dyce.

Survivors include her children, Hugh Franklin Dyce, Cherry Annette Dyce, Penny Jane Heggie, Jennifer Marie Busbin; brother, Henry Lester Byrd; grandchildren, Sandra Smith, Franklin Dyce III, Leslie Near, Laurie Ashburn, David Dyce, Mary Cocahougher, Rhonda Gonzalez, Robin Pewitt, and Heather Bailey; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Franklin Dyce, David Dyce, Sean Frost, Brad Haley, Carlos Gonzales, Keenan Frost and Keith Cocahougher.
